John 3:16 (NIV)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Romans 5:8 (NIV)

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 15:13 (NIV)

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

John 3:16 is probably the most quoted Bible verse. It sums up God’s love for us. God loved us so much that He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.

God showed His love for us, people that don’t deserve it. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. Naturally we make sacrifice for those we love. God did this by sending His Son to die so we can experience eternal life with Him.

1 John 4:16 (NIV)

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

1 John 4:9-10 (NIV)

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

1 John 4:7 (NIV)

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”

God is love. We know what love is because God is love. He demonstrates it with every aspect of who God is. Love and God are equivalent. You can’t live in God’s way without always living in love. You can’t live in love without walking with God.

Love is living a life with God and through God. He loves us so much even though we did not earn it. He loved us first.

You can know God loves you because love comes from God. He cannot exist apart from love. Therefore we cannot live with God and without love; to live is to be loved by God.

Psalms 86:13 (NIV)

“For great is your love toward me;  you have delivered me from the depths,  from the realm of the dead.”

Psalms 86:15 (NIV)

“But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”

God’s love is great for us. He loves us more than our brains can comprehend. His love delivers us from our sadness and sorrows. He is a God of compassion, graciousness, faithfulness and unfailing love!

Romans 8: 37-39 (NIV)

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”

Nothing can separate us from the love of God! We do not deserve the love of God but he freely gives it to us. By His great grace, we can experience love from the Father.

Our sins cannot separate us. We can run from God and He will still love us. No matter what mistakes we have made in life, God is always ready to welcome us back with arms wide open.

1 John 3:1 (NIV)

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

John 16:27 (NIV)

“No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.”

God’s love is greater than any human “love”. A parent might love their children but God’s love is a thousand times greater than that. We are His children and His creation. Jesus died for us to save us from our sins and the world. That is love that we can never fully comprehend, but we can have peace knowing the God of the universe loves us.

Psalms 36:7 (NIV)

“How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.”

Psalms 109:36 (NIV)

“Help me, Lord my God;  save me according to your unfailing love.”

See how to give yourself more grace.

Psalms 136:26 (NIV)

“Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.”

We know God always loves us because His love is unfailing. It never ends. We cannot jeopardize our love. We can take refuge knowing He cares about us and is watching over us. Rest in that fact.

Romans 5:5 (NIV)

“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)

“The Lord your God is with you,  the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

It is easy to not feel loved by God when we are walking in shame or when we cannot feel His presence. But we must stay in hope believing that God’s love is always there.

We must continue to read God’s word so we do not forget how much God loves us. The devil will try to keep us distracted and away from Christ. God does not shame us. His love brings relief. When we read scripture, we can feel the love of God coming off the pages and pouring over our hearts.

Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)

“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.’”

Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV)

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”

You are radically loved by God. Nothing can change that. Do not listen to the lies of the enemy. You cannot lose God’s love. His love lasts through a thousand generations. He loves you so much. God just wants you to realize this and run towards Him like a child to his father.

God is always there. Call out to Him. Know that you are loved with unfailing love!
